An advertising campaign needs a working route from the ad to your team. Review that route before buying traffic so you can tell what happened after someone clicked.

## Start here

Test the full enquiry journey and decide how lead quality will be recorded before launching a campaign.

## Match the page to the advertised offer

Someone clicking an ad for a particular service should reach a page that explains that service. Keep the headline, supporting details and action consistent with the offer in the ad. A broad homepage may require the visitor to search again for the information they expected.

Give the visitor enough context to make a decision. Explain the scope, suitable customers and next steps. Use genuine examples or clearly labelled illustrative scenarios. Avoid invented results that make the offer appear more established than it is.

## Make the enquiry easy to complete on mobile

Review the page on a phone using a normal connection. Check readable text, image loading and the distance to the enquiry action. A form should ask for the details your team needs to respond, with clear labels and useful error messages.

Test success and failure states. A success message should appear only after the request has been accepted. Check where the enquiry arrives and how the customer receives confirmation. Repeated submissions should be considered when a slow response encourages someone to click again.

## Measure outcomes rather than only button clicks

Choose the actions that matter to your business. A submitted enquiry, booked consultation or completed purchase has a different meaning from an attempt to open a form. Keep those events distinguishable in your reporting.

Google Analytics allows selected events to be marked as key events. Agree the event definition and verify that it fires at the correct point. Review any privacy and consent requirements for your implementation, and keep names, email addresses and private message content out of analytics event parameters.

## Keep campaign context with the lead

Use a consistent naming convention for campaign links so sources can be compared. If your enquiry system supports it, retain useful campaign context with the lead. Test that the information reaches the receiving system without becoming a required field the visitor must fill in.

Connect the enquiry with a later outcome where your process allows it. A campaign producing many submissions may still generate unsuitable requests. Define a qualified lead with your sales team so the reporting reflects the actual service and customer fit.

## Agree budgets and review responsibilities

Separate advertising spend from management, landing-page development and content production fees. Specify who approves the offer and creatives, who owns the accounts and how campaign changes are reviewed.

Choose a reporting rhythm that gives the team time to act on findings. An early review should cover form reliability, tracking accuracy and lead quality alongside spend. When something fails in the buying journey, resolve it before simply increasing traffic.
